Clémentine Mazille has been a lecturer at
UPPA since 2015. She first studied
sovereignty through the situation of a third state landlocked in the European Union (thesis on Switzerland and the EU, Univ. of Bordeaux and Geneva). This initial overview of the EU’s ‘normative power’ was then supplemented by work on the
‘implementation’ of EU law by national authorities. These studies mainly fall within the scope of the
AFSJ, and in particular the
Schengen area and its border issues.
